In Q2, De Beers Group Ventures is focussing scouting efforts on startups whose products and services could support De Beers Group’s strategic focus on the Connected Supply Chain – to further digitise the end-to-end pathway of diamonds from recovery to point of sale, increasing automation.

De Beers Group Ventures’ first approved proof of concept related to this is focussed on leveraging IoT technology to automate weighing and inventory checking, with a possibility to gain material efficiencies in the diamond handling process.
